Hi, A Friend of mine would like to know why some matchbook collectors take the matches out of the books. I told him probably for safety reasons, that they won't ignite. He presumes by doing that it devalues the matchbook. So I would like to know should the matches be taken out and if so, would it devalue them. Thanks. John Esslinger #5045.
