Heck I would go for broke and hit North Lake Tahoe, Incline Village, Carson City, Virginia City and South Lake Tahoe (along with Reno/Sparks). Since you're not stopping to gamble, you could do the whole trip in a 24 hour day

I hit almost everything in that area (but did it in 2 days).
