Today's "Chips of the Day" come from the "NEW CAL-VADA LODGE" which was located on Highway 28 in Crystal Bay, on the north shore of the Lake. Opened in 1927 as the "La-Vada Lodge", became the "Cal-Vada Lodge" in 1935. Part of that property became the "NEW CAL-VADA LODGE" in 1951 until finally closing in 1955. That location went on to became the "Bal Tabarin" later that same year. Today's chips are considered their 3rd issue from 1951. Enjoy!
