Just got back.
Didn't get there in time for the 'Special Guests' support group (apparently just a local indie group doing covers) as I only got the tickets this afternoon from a neighbour who couldn't make it.
Did you see the ticket price??

2 hour set was pretty good for a bunch of almost 70 year olds. Gillan can still handle everything apart from Child in Time and Highway Star. I'd seen a couple of negative reviews from earlier in the tour but everything was perfect tonight.

It was Purple who played their first ever gig at the same venue 40 years ago.
Iron Maiden was the Bandwagon (with DJ Neal Kay). I saw Neal a couple of weeks ago in Starbucks.
