Thank you very much Gene Lonstein!!!

He was very kind enough to provide a post of a chip we needed: The $1 Alpine Club Chip from Ely.

The two chips from the Aladdin seem to be the bane of my existence and the existence of people who collect variations. I have received plenty of scans from chippers (Irwin Gross thank you, Don Lueders thank you, Gene Lonstein, thank you again, Allan & Ann McCurdy thank you very much). The Off-White $1 with an R-White inlay is really hard to tell if the chip is actually beige or off-white, and the other that's grey that has the lamp in the inlay is a chip I've never seen before.

Either way, I will tell you it was VERY heartwarming to put a post out for a couple of scans needed to complete all the "A" casinos and immediately receive posts from many, many chippers, both through email and through posts. Thank you very much all of you who have sent scans.

And to other chippers who looked for me, but weren't able to find the scans I was looking for, thank you very very much for looking. Believe you me, I hope there will be PLENTY of upcoming casinos that are missing scans that you could possibly supply us a scan or three.

And to the remaining chippers who haven't supplied a scan, it's never EVER too late to begin. Whether it's one scan or dozens of scans, we value all submissions the same. Maybe you have a chip that is in better shape than the scan we have available. Maybe you don't have a scanner but you know somebody who does. If you are able to send us scans of chips you currently are in ownership of, we are happy to use your scans. Fearless Leader Charles Kaplan holds webinars from time to time on how to best scan chips. I can tell you one of the "scans" I provided for The Chip Guide during the Greg Susong era (the Sam's Town 1st issue with long canes) was a photo I took from my cellphone! I went into my settings and changed one of the settings so the quality of the photo was at its highest. Then took the picture with the chip lying flat and the camera straight above it. Although it's not ideal, I will say it's better than us having to post the "image needed" or "unavailable" next to the chip information. Give it a try. If we can use it, wonderful. If we can't, I'll try to walk you through the steps needed to make a photo work.

So now, it's off to the "B"s. In fact, I can hear the Bal Tabarin calling me now!!
