After "The Creeper" posted a picture of Benny Binion's house, Rick asked what the back of the house looked like. We've visited the property several times over the years, so I searched our pictures....

The property is surrounded by a concrete block wall, with a gate or two, so you can't just walk up to the house and start taking pictures...you have to take them over or around the wall. No one has lived there for a number of years, but they still keep horses on the property.

Last year when we made a "pilgrimage" to the property, the gate was open and my husband drove in! There was an on-site caretaker who immediately came up to the car to see what we wanted. I was trying to be on my very best behavior, so I wasn't taking any pictures. My husband was doing his best to sweet-talk the lady into letting us go in the house; when that didn't work he tried bribing her. That didn't work either . She basically ordered us off of the property...and left me wishing that I'd taken pictures!

In 2007 I did manage to get a picture of the back of the house. Apparently the "sold" on the sign was premature, because it was back to being "for sale" on our next trip (though I don't think I got any further pictures of the sign).
