...I had become friends with the Horseshoe poker room manager, Cathi Wood. I was in her office one day in 2001 seeing how many of the new Chris Ferguson chips I could get. It was the latest $2.50 chip in the set. I was also friends with Chris & he was going to autograph at least 20 for me. The chips had just arrived in the cage & she had a few in her office. As she showed one to me the first thing I noticed was that it was a Bud Jones chip. I asked why she changed from what was always a Paulson chip. And that it took away from the set as this was a different look since it was Bud Jones.

She told me she knew nothing about chips & the reason she went with Bud Jones was that they made the lowest offer to make the chips. Just as simple as that. Since they had already gone with Bud Jones they decided to stay with them for the next two years.
