I have always found that the folks that mainly sell chips on eBay are a lot more fair with their shipping than those selling a variety of things. They know what it will cost, and the best way to safely ship it. The times I have paid much higher shipping is typically with sellers that sell a variety of stuff, and they are used to charging 3-4 bucks per item. I agree with asking for a total shipping. Last night I picked up 9 chips for 3 bucks shipping which is fair. I wouldn't have bought the 9 chips if he didn't combine the shipping since that would have been almost 30 bucks. I also agree with John, I like to get the total in an eBay message if it isn't listed in the ad.
