The game went past 1 a.m. Texas time, and the lead switched many times before it finally ended. As the winner, I was thrilled to accomplish the task, and the final hands were very enjoyable with two other guys who were really tough players. We have an old saying here in Texas, "A blind hog finds an acorn if he keep rooting under the tree." Well, it was my time to find the golden acorn, but getting there was a long, tenuous battle. Now, I can cross another item off my "bucket list" of things I need to do. It was fun and thanks to all who have sent emails congratulating me for winning. Let's have a shout-out for Mark and Roy, who played a very good game as well. And, all the other players who show up each week.
