The ChipGuide wants to recognize contributors for their donations. That is why we have the contributor page and why I always mention that the ChipGuide would not be the ChipGuide without the support of all those who submit scans from their collections.
The ChipGuide has developed specific policies to provide the best that we can for the hobby. On the ChipGuide Usage Policy page you will see this message posted:
"Images and descriptions of items not currently on the ChipGuide may be submitted for consideration to be added to the ChipGuide. The ChipGuide has a submission form for this purpose. Upon submission, permission is granted to the Museum of Gaming History to use the item on the ChipGuide and for other purposes. Submitters must own the images submitted or have permission to submit them. At the discretion of the ChipGuide, submitted items may or may not be used and may be edited to meet ChipGuide guidelines. Submitted items will not be returned."
We cannot police every item submitted to the ChipGuide, but we can fix problems. If you see your scan on the ChipGuide, and can reasonably prove it that it is your scan, but it is listed under another name, just let us know and we will take action to correct it.
Thanks for all your submissions.
