In an earlier post I mistaken confused September 22ns as being a Saturday (yesterday) when it was really today, Sunday and that is the final redemption day for "older" Tropicana chips and tokens.

At one of the Club's earlier Tropicana Conventions, I acquired 5 $5 slot machine tokens and have held them all this time. Before venturing to Vegas this weekend, I pulled the tokens out and decided to redeem them, rather than hold them any longer, as their conditions were from horrible to Well Used. As such, redeeming for face value was probably a good idea.

One token was from 1986 and the other four were all from the early 1990's. At the cage they had to check with the supervisor, but they did take all 5!

Another chipper I know, despite the fact that the Tropicana posted that they were taking back all "older" chips and tokens, could not redeem the much older fountain chips. I guess they were redeeming "older" chips and not "very old" chips!
