I went to Boardwalk Regency on November 29, 1979 for my 19th birthday. At that time the casinos were by law closed from 4-10 AM. I presume this was for accounting purposes. The dress code for men was shoes, slacks and shirt with collar until 6 PM, jacket and tie after 6. The law was changed to allow 24 hour gaming in the early eighties and dress codes were relaxed shortly after.
