I agree with David & Bill. Even if its old, there should still be drivers out there for it to work. What type of scanner is it?

For what it's worth, I bought an all-in-one printer/scanner from Walmart. It's a cannon and only cost about 40 bucks. It does up to 1200 dpi, which is higher than I use on my website. I can make a few chip scans and email them to you if that would help.
