Re: A Fairytale of BS

Just to save you from having to work your way through the excessive amount of rubbish above, a shortened "light heartened" version in an appropriate setting showing the main points. Also, because I can't actually bring myself to write it as it was because the bs just sticks in my throat. Which is really nasty especially if it isn't even yours. Or as Max (Bygraves) would have said...."I wanna tell you a story".
If you wish to read the fantasy fiction novel thread, then please do.....
A Fairytale of BS (Part 1).
One beautiful, sunny day, GW was skipping through the woods thinking what a lovely day it was but what would he do with it? Well, FeeBay had given him 500 free auctions so why not list the set of plaques that he was trying to sell for his friends, what had he got to lose. Even better, why didn't he do what many other people did and list it at a really high price to see if he got any offers, he thought. Oh, and while he's in the woods he can tell them about it and let them have the pleasure of seeing them and maybe having a little chuckle. He knew that some people enjoyed seeing them so....why not?
Oh dear, here comes the evil Woodsman (EWM), GW knew he was evil as he had once been on the receiving end of over 30 abusive messages all because of a concocted story and lies the EWM told to somebody who was in a really bad place just so he could "screw GW over" for his own devices....oh well, benefit of the doubt, let's see.
He had seen my sign in the forest and spoke. What are you smoking? he said (GW was a little taken aback by this as drinking would have been a much more sensible question considering but took it in the spirit that he hoped it meant). American Spirit, u? A little birdy popped up to say that they were worth $2000 even though he knew they were worth a lot more which GW told him. EWM said that he would pay that and then questioned him on the price using a mixture of incomplete facts and fiction. He then quoted a price, which was good of him as GW had asked. GW remembered that "similar" plaques were on sale for $10000 on a site and checked (he looked again the next day and they were only $4000 although he had had a hard day going through the rubbish so could have been just tired and a little paranoid and misread it but something was niggling). The prices had been discounted which was what GW hoped would happen with his set if an offer was forthcoming, OR the exact same thing in fact! Maybe that is what the problem was!? Maybe he had to take his valuation as gospel and lower them to that price. GW wanted to get the best deal he could so he left them. Bad move it seems. EWM then proceeded to list various statements supposedly applying to the same plaques along with some feeble attempts at sarcasm. The facts actually applied to other plaques which EWM would have known if he had read the auction properly as the dates didn't "work" but he didn't. Wow, what can I have I done to him, GW thought. Did I insult him or his family or do something really bad on the auction? He obviously has many issues but why with me? EWM then showed a neat picture although it actually had nothing at all to do with the previous conversation. Is that what they call a curve ball? He said that he had a problem with another auction because of the wording. It was shown that he was totally wrong about the wording but he just ignored the reply and carried on. The offending word had never been there in the one listed as GW had been told by 2 people that more existed so he changed it. He then started a discussion regarding an offer on the jeton and mentioned about GW wanting to start an argument and then remarked about not being wrong about the word, just out of the blue. That discussion has already finished and come to a conclusion althought he had ignored the reply it seems, so......Oh, here we go....Attacking my honesty, integrity and character with unfounded slander now? Boy EWM really was "classy". GW's not in the habit of using a certain word if he knows it not to be true. He'd be too afraid it was wrong as (unlike others) he tells the truth as he knows it. This was getting uncomfortable now, maybe the forest folk would help him. It seems they were hiding and watching just glad it wasn't them as EWM was known for his "comments" . Looks like GW's all on his own.
Hopefully part 2 will be along soon.
