My biggest concern is the thought that these different color variations may be due too natural fading or from being underground.

I took a look at two yellow 100's in Fireworks CS6 ( which is the program I use for all my graphical design ), and used the Eye Dropper tool to obtain the color codes from each chip within a 5x5 ( pixel ) average area , in the same area on both chips. The colors are different , but extremely similar , this makes me wonder why would the casino make two different chips , that look so similar to each other? ( If anyone would like the color codes / pictures from my experiment just let me know! )
