Yes. That this was a good example of a transition from gold hot-stamp to silver as a function of excessive wear.
However, your silver example is too uniform in all the silver. Usually, the larger areas (like the numeral "1") transition first and then the smaller locations, the lettering. But even when they change, it is not uniform and there is usually some other discoloration (typically, yellow).
The uniformity of your example sure makes it look like it was a silver hot-stamp versus a gold hot-stamp that changed to a silver one. Always a possibility that it was hot-stamp silver instead of gold. Suggest you hold on to it and have a couple of other people take a look at it. (Bring it to the Convention next year.)
