Re: Newly coded Antique Gambling Chips

I looked over the codes Sunday morning and it has taken me a week to stop banging my head against the wall. I will try to do this without damaging the integrity of our hobby any further.
I would like to just be able to say "it is what it is" but it is more than that. It is history and I do not know at this point if you can change it or not.

For the most part, the codes are good. But there are some that are questionable and there are some that should have been corrected before they were published. Here are my notes and observations.

PC-AW & PC-DT: The PC-AW Club chip is in my notes as "possible re-code" and I see that you have gone ahead with the re-code. The PW-CM picture should remain with the description re-coded PC-AW. By the way, it is an inlaid litho not a paste on so that description can go away to make room for "Re-coded PC-AW CLUB.

PD-JH SWASTIKA ink stamped: We'll I guess the discussion on this chip is over. Yes it was coded SUW in the old book and Dale decided that he would not put it in the revised edition. This was not an oversight or error on his part. I admit that the decision NOT to code any new "ink stamped" chips was mine but after our long discussion on this chip you have decided to code it anyway.
Oh well, the discussion period is over and it is history. All heil PD-JH.

PD-IR & PD-RV OVAL: Two new found design chips. I really do not know why you would not take the opportunity to place them together as PD-RX & PD-RY?

PD-KG STAR: Interesting chip. Is it plastic? Clay? Celluloid? Hot Stamped? Paint? Should be in the description.

PL-LT Pansy: I saw the chip when Chuck listed it on eBay. Interesting in that I found the exact same design on an un-coded Ivory chip. Funny how they both just seem to pop up from 100+ years ago. I think a better placement for the chip would be after PL-LV & before PL-MA--> perhaps PL-LZ in case another Pansy should happen to surface.

PL-MI Single Leaf: The code is previously taken. I see Mick has made note of that error and taken it on himself to re-code it PL-MJ.
It should be placed before the Plastic Maple Leaf as PL-MH.

PS-SN & PS-TB Horseshoe: What happened here? Did the pictures get switched or something? If you switch the pictures back again I would agree with the codes but...

PT-AQ Automobile & dust: I guess the discussion period is over and this classic example of a variation is now coded. So be it.

PW-AI Arrowheads: If this is a small chip it should be placed at the beginning of it's design to follow the traditional layout Dale followed. Inlay and reverse inlay should not affect the placement. Placement should be PW-AE.

PW-PX Swastika: Beautiful with the ring. Very special chip!
