the "ED" would have to be responsible for attracting 1000-1500 in NEW MEMBERS EACH YEAR just to pay for his/her salary. I don't believe that the club is willing (or able) to take on such a financial burden... and that's just for starters. The "ED" would also have to have a budget to effect whatever steps he/she is attempting to accomplish, and of course the "ED" would require a staff assistant as well ... like our senators and congress.

Then there would be the resulting in-fighting of club officers and other club officials who will now want to be paid for what they currently enjoy doing for nothing.
