We all know the Club is loosing money and members, and is looking for ideas, I'm posting mine, it may not be a good one, but is one more, we can get everybody input and come out with something good for the Club.
We the Members, can still paying the $15.00 for the 3 days of the Convention, we got a bunch of goodies anyway, value $15 or more, now, the people than come to the table or the registration booth and ask, what is going on, we can tell them about Chip Collecting and give then a ticket for entrance to the show for free, we then collect the tickets, see how many people came in and I bet than it will triple or quadruple the amount of people or possible new members we can get, and maybe the dealers can sell more merchandise, more people=more sales.
Now, it comes the part of $$$$$$$$ I think Fred Lamb is right some member could sponsor $10 or donate a good chip, all the chips donated can be auctioned and all the money will goes to cover the tickets giving away for free entrance.
I myself, if I don't know anything about chip collecting and go on a Thursday with my wife and two older kids, or two friends, will not pay $40 to see something than I don't know if I'm going to like it or not, but if it's free, then I will go.
I will sponsor four people $20 or donate a "good" chip and will also offer my time for volunteer at the The Club table, never done it, but next time I will. Now don't complain about my witting, I never went to school in the United State.
