My wife and I stayed a weekend at the Thunderbird Resort (timeshare) in Sparks back in the mid 80's. It was one of those "listen to a short pitch and get a free weekend stay and a bottle of Champagne" things. We just told them we had two kids in collage and were too broke. It was Hot Air Balloon Festival - great sight to see. It was a fun weekend. Don't recall any wooden nickles though.
