I too have brought up my collecting interest at my casino card room (Turning Stone). Reaction is interesting but no one has joined. I think that you all have hit it on the head with the young uns--they didn't collect as kids--played computer games. But still people pick up chips from casinos...just don't go forward.
Which brings me to a sore point; as much as I love South Point, we need to be back on the strip for walk ins. I won't be a dealer in the future so don't have a say in the convention home, but I wish we were back at the Southern Strip. And I recall reading in one of the threads that people don't walk in L.V. heat. I was at Harrah's after the convention when the temps were 112-117 and thousands of people walked by daily.
