Reno Nevada:
Researching North Dakota Charity Casino chips, I am good at. Ditto for military related chips. Wet chips I am getting better at with each new addition to my collection.
While I collect Nevada items, chips, tokens, good fors and slot cards among other things, this is NOT an area that I am good at doing research, so hopefully, others will chime in.
First, and foremost a disclaimer is order as I know that phone numbers are resued over time and that a phone number that you call today might not get you the person on the other end that you called some ten years ago.
At one time, there was a relation between the Sundowner Casino and the Thunderbird Resort club, both located in Reno Nevada:
Note the phone number: NAV 850205
This wood was "resused" with a sticker placed over the Sundowner Casino side as follows:
Later on, these woods were once again reused, this time by "Eddie's Casino" located at Second and Sierra (not to be confussed with Eddie's Fabulous 50's which is at a different location). The Eddie's at Second and Sierra is not listed in my most recent copy of the Gaming Table. However, the stickers, once again placed over BOTH sides of the Sundowner Wood , again have the same phone number: NAV 850205.
There is currently a Thunderbird Resort Club listed as being located in Sparks, Nevada (not far from Reno) but it has a different phone number.
No doubt that the phone number listed on the woods / stickers were probably for the Time Share as opposed to the casino and that the operator was merely paying to occupy some space in each location.
That's all I know, and I am sticking to it!
Fire Away!
