With all of our members and their families, I would think we should be able get someone to do the books once a year, they could claim it
as a donation to boot (I think?). Any CPAs out there?

Who advised you to not write for grants before you have a physical location? There are tons of grants that do
not require a physical location, in fact there are countless successful 501C3s with no physical location. More research needs to be done
with this issue.

As far as donations go, they don't usually come in without an "ask" and a "relationship". Who have you approached? How much was the ask
for? What will the donation do/get for the donor? People give money for different reasons, need to know how to ask, and how to establish the benefits.
