So, is accurate to say membership has been in decline for years and that currently we have roughly 1160 regular members and we are loosing 100 or so members per year?
I would assume that we project to loose about the same amount of members, if not more, in the next few years.
Not sure if the BOD sees this as a MAJOR problem, I view this as a major issue that needs to be addressed. Is it is safe to say
that we are failing as an organization?
How do we turn this around? We don't have to reinvent the wheel here? This is a common 501C3 problem and there are steps to fix it.
I think we need professional help, If the BOD thinks that this type of help would cost us too much money. We can actually do it ourselves
but we need to be honest with our selves with our (strengths and weaknesses). We could gain from a self assessment at this point. I know
that some of what I'm saying borders on being out of line, but if you look at the numbers and do the math, where will we be in 5 years as
far as our membership?(Remember)...once a downward spiral starts and then gains momentum, it is very hard to turn around.
