This was one of the plans submitted in 1992 for Fremont Street redevelopment...
Obviously it wasn't selected - and most give credit to this one sentence uttered by Paramount CEO Stanley Jaffe that killed the project's chances...
“I don’t want to be the guy that approved this and then it’s a flop and sitting out there in Vegas forever.”
That sobering thought scared everyone to death.

Anyway - as a fan of Star Trek - I think it would have been very cool and unique. Would it have been better than the "Fremont Street Experience"? We will never know
