Sheldon, I also saved the ENTIRE string of e-mails that went back and forth over a year ago.
You forgot to include the line in one of the messages that reads: "Mike and I worked on a statement that would be inserted into his auctions" That sounds like a collaboration, not 'suggestions' that Mike then used to write the clearly false statement. The very same statement that is full of mistruths verified not by me, but your fellow longtime club members. This was the end work that you yourself said "Now affixed to the sales of certain chips, this is satisfactory to me!"
Your careful choosing of this quote or that in your reply does little to tell the whole story. Like I said, I have every message that was sent, and am not shy or embarrassed about any of it. Any one who wants a copy of it, including full e-mail headers for authenticity need only ask me, and I will forward it. If enough ask, I'll be happy to just post it to this thread.
You are well known in this club, I am not- very true, but as Confucius might have said centuries ago, "It is easier to believe a myth from a friend than the truth from a stranger"
I have spoke with Gene Trimble who agreed with me on many points, as did many dealers at the recent convention at the Southpoint who felt the same way about these chips.
