It seems that the newly released Silver Sevens $1 chips come in at least two versions.

A short canes on both sides version and a short and long canes on opposite sides version. (While possible, I have not seen a long canes on both sides version.)

Since the $5's (the GO and rack), $25's and $100's are RHC molded chips, this variation should not be present.

Scan here shows one side of two different chips. Note that the molds are different, i.e., long and short canes.
