Most casinos are much more relaxed than they used to be - jeans, trainers and t-shirts are acceptable where they didn't used to be. A couple of the London casinos that I go to have a dress code, and no doubt the fee-paying ones do (I wouldn't know, being a low-roller ) but it is the exception rather than the rule these days.
When I first joined the Westcliff, jeans and t-shirts were not acceptable and of course we didn't used to be able to drink on the gaming floor until a few years ago. We also used to have the "must be a member for 24 hours before you can come in" rule which was really difficult if you wanted to go somewhere just to get into the casino. I remember faxing application forms off to casinos which didn't always arrive and I was refused entry!
So much more relaxed now!
