This is one of several tokens issued by the DI in the last year or so before it closed. This one commemorates the hotel grand opening in 1950 and the opening of the Race and Sports Book in 1998. It has no denomination and was apparently sold at the hotel. I've picked up the various tokens one at a time and this is a duplicate.

This is a heavy token with an edge that looks like the unfinished edge of a stamped-out planchet. I don't know why that is because it is obviously coined. The material is not marked anywhere on the token. It weighs 1 troy ounce. Is that a coincidence? The token is prooflike with no marks. It's nice an shiny but is toning a bit around the circumference.
