I wonder why the name "Penguin Club"?
Perhaps a reference to it being air conditioned during the hot LV summers? But sheer speculation.

It does remind me of the highway motels of the 50's and 60's with their neon signs out front, saying
"Refrigerated Air" or simply "Air Conditioned".

Something we take for granted these days!
