IMO Trades: Just because someone is a member does not guarantee a positive transaction. There can always be items lost in the mail or discrepancies about the condition of items once received. I cannot recall ever trading high $ items with another Club member, so my only thought would regarding these transactions would be to mutually agree to the S&H method (Priority Mail, insurance, etc.) and return options before the deal. Ask for detailed scans of the items before you trade.
IMO Sales: Again, purchase from a member may not go as planned. A member-to-member transaction does allow you a small level of protection through the Club, but the worst sanction to a crooked member would be to be thrown out of the Club. If you are not comfortable with a transaction, add another level of protection. Ask the seller to send you an invoice through Paypal and pay with a credit card. As a Club Member, I would not be insulted if someone asked me to do that. It may cost a little $, but any costs involved can be settled before the sale.
In every barrel, there are always a few bad apples. I have been in the Club over 10 years and I can't remember a bad transaction with a Club member. In addition, I have made a lot of friends all over the world thanks to the .
I hope everyone is having fun at the Convention.
