Some before and after scans of the chip I just removed from its
45 year imprisonment in a souvenir moneyclip! Thanks to Don
Lueders for some helpful tips.

The first step was to remove the currency clip from the reverse side...

Then some careful bending and wiggling of the brass edges -
and after a couple days, out she came!
