Check your washing machine, and your laundry basket.

Do you have a spot where you empty your pockets as you enter your house, or a usual place where you take of your clothes ( check the shelves in your wardrobe, and then the floor ( especially if it has carpet, as you may not have heard them drop), under bed etc

As my wife asks me when I say I have "lost" something, "when did you last see them" which I find annoying, but if you visualise the last true moment, sometimes it will just fall in place.
