This years Chipboard Get-together will be at the Silverado Lounge/Bar at Southpoint.
That is the lounge area close to the Silverado and Italian restaurants near the entrance to the parking garage (same bar we use for the Splashy awards)
Time (at least the time I plan to be there) - 6pm to 9pm

There are advantages and disadvantages or holding it in this venue - if it doesnt work out maybe we will look for a future alternative so bear with me. I should add that having enquired about several other venues (including the SP buffet) there was nowhere prepared to offer space/lockdown for that many people without a cover charge of $15 to $20 per attendee.

Disadvantages - if it is your shout, you might have to walk 20 feet to the bar to get your drinks. That said, I am doing my best to arrange extra staffing for that bar, and at the Splashy awards they dealt with a pretty good number of people with no problem.

You might not all get a seat, but then many stand anyway and we can overspill around the bar without too much difficulty. Many attendees come and go at different times, some stay a few minutes, others the duration, so we should be able to cope. Some can even move on to the other main bar and it wont disrupt things.

Advantages - assuming you are staying at SP, you are not ties down to when someone can give you a ride there and back by car, you can drink, run back to your room for something, go off to a restaurant if you don' want to eat there etc.

If you do want to eat, then to help matters, I have enlisted the help of Dave Harber's daughter Alexi and her friend(s) who do the lunch runs for us on the bourse floor, and they will be able to fetch you a selection of meals from various SP establishments so you don't have to leave your seat (assuming you got one ).
