Italian?... Rao's at Caesars Palace
In Response To: Annual Question-Where to eat? ()

Based on the Italian restaurant of the same name that has operated in NYC for years. Mid range prices; usually $50-75 per person.

Also at Caesars Palace, if you have lots of money (or comps), go upstairs to the French Restaurant "Guy Savoy"; one of the best gourmet restaurants in Las Vegas. Plan on $200-300 per person, plus wine.

Best French restaurant in town: MGM Grand, "Joel Robuchon". Plan on spending 2-3 hours for a 5 course meal. Expensive, about like Guy Savoy, with great wine list. Every dish a visual work of art!

For an old style "Vegas Gourmet Room", you don't have to go far. It's Michaels (as in Gaughan) at South Point! Opened in 1982 at the Barbary Coast. Many of the same wait staff moved to SP with the restaurant and most of the furnishings. Dress up for this place. Read the recent YELP comments:
