49 camp chips revisited

I have been trying to determine the mfg of the 49 camp chips. At first I thought they were US Playing card chips, but 49 camp is not included in the inventory of uspc chips on this board. Then I thought maybe crest and seal. I am sure that the attribution of those chips is incorrect on this board, which states: "San Francisco card room 1963-66" That is impossible on so many levels! Edmund "Pat" Brown, D A for San Francisco city and county shut the cardrooms in sf down in the 50s. That included the Menlo Club (Elmer Remmer et al) and his own fathers cardroom, Joseph "Joe". Brown's club in the Padre Hotel.
I am fairly certain that the 49Camp chips were issues between 1912-1915 for the Panama Pacific Exposition in San Francisco which was open for almost 10 months in 1915. The expo was twofold, one, naturally to commemorate the opening of the Panama Canal (hooray!) and the second to show that San Francisco had recovered from the devastating earthquake of 1906. The US mint set up at the fair and struck 3 coins commemorating is, 2 50 dollar gold pieces (one round and one octagonal) and a 1.00 coin. The fair was pretty high minded with the exception of the exposition zone, which was supposed to be a revenue raising"Carnival" zone for the fair. It included 49 Camp, a duplication of a 49er gold miners camp of the Sierra foothills. Some time back I sent Greg Susong a photo of the 49camp and some articles describing the gambling and dancehall gals etc. The camp did survive, however, and after the fair ended, went on to San Diego to set up at the California-Pacific fair.
