I don't believe anyone said that selling a repaired chip is a "Good thing"
Advertising in the club magazine is a good thing
Properly disclosing a chip that is known to be altered is a good thing.
It appears to me that Heritage is doing both of those things.
I am sure they know how we feel and properly followed the current COE the club has in respect to selling such items.
Until the day that there is a club rule or law against this, I insist that they have done nothing wrong.
If someone down the line resells the repaired chip without disclosure it is THAT person breaking the COE, Not Heritage.
I honestly think we are way out of line in suggesting that any wrongdoing whatsoever is being done here as they followed the club procedures as written.
Should they be rewritten or revisited? That's an entirely different subject and one that will be discussed. BUT as far as this auction goes, I see absolutely nothing wrong with what they have done.
