I have always collected something, as a kid it was arrowheads, and rocks (coming from Montana this was a natural), later in the tweens it was baseball cards, ( I am sure at one time or another I had the 52 Mantle etc) and later in the teens I just collected headaches from two many Great Falls Select beers. After getting out the service it was tokens and chips 1966-70, then I really got involved in the gambling industry and started out with the Thorpe card counting system. (More on that on request) But about 1970 I was looking for something to do and friend introduced me to tobacco tins, coke trays, CPC & Avon, and advertising memorabilia. It was long after that I was looking for something to do with my two boys; so I bought my first comic book for collecting and re-sale (I can still remember it, Green Lantern Green Arrow #84), I spent about 20 years in Comics, then I opened within my Comic Store in Fresno, CA the first Baseball Card Shop. This store eventually expanded into non Sports Cards (ie Mars Attack, Dark Shadows, Beatles etc), Movie Posters, (still have a few), and a small arcade (while doing that I produced the first Comic Book convention and the first Baseball card show ever in Fresno, CA....at the end I decided to wholesale comics, big mistake, ended that venture with a bankruptcy. Still dabbled with comics for another 10 years, and eventually in 2005 came back to the chips and tokens...wow am I addicted....lol but I love this hobby the most. Love the folks in it.
