it amazes me at how well our club -- and especially our convention -- does using all volunteers. The effort that club members contribute on a regular basis is fantastic. And then when the convention rolls around, there are so many great members that roll-up their sleeves to make our convention a success. It really is amazing...and they all do it for the love of the hobby, the love of the club & those friends that belong to both. It certainly would be great to be able to pay each & every one, but instead they get (and gladly accept) a "Thank you" from all those that appreciate their efforts.
