Personally, I loved the show- decent writing, good acting, great sets - even if they were inaccurate often location wise- they looked as if you WERE on Fremont St 1961.
This was the first TV show in about 8 years or so that I got into, and planned to watch every episode ahead of time and arranged my schedule to do so.
What I don't believe is that CBS even gave it a fair shake, or the chance to gain a strong loyal following. It began with what seemed like little advertisement, then after the first 4-5 episodes ran, they pre-empted it for a few weeks while they tried out another prospective show.
Then, after it was back, they moved it to another night and time.... one that is usually the death knell for a show- prime time Friday, when most viewers are away from home with other activities, and left the loyal viewers wondering where it went
Somehow I wonder if the network wrote it off far too early, and never planned to ahve it go more than one season.
To the creators, writers, actors and producers.... Thanks for a quality show amid all the other boring sequel based crap that dominates the airwaves.
