are correct that the membership probably doubled between 1995 & 2005 or so. I think at the peak, our club had just over 3200 active members. Personally, I think that the growth in the hobby was directly related to the growth of Las Vegas and a good economy -- and the decrease in our hobby can also be linked to a weak economy & lack of expansion in Las Vegas. There are substantially more casinos (both nationally & internationally) than there were in 2005, but another boom in Las Vegas casino building and an improving economy seem to me to be the only way to revitalize our hobby. We may yet see it...and if the Las Vegas casino industry starts to grow again, maybe Nevada Gaming will go back to allowing casinos to produce LE's again.
