City of Los Angeles...

Were there ever, any licensed card rooms in the City of Los Angeles? I'm thinking there were none and the chips we see from cities (typically postal zones) within the City of Los Angeles were from illegal clubs, home poker sets or "recreational" places and perhaps the term "card room" (in the case of California) is mis-used for the City of Los Angeles locations.
