Mike Pegram is one of themost sucessful owners of race horses. He has 40-50 won the Kentucky Derby and Preakness, and Breeders cup races, his horses have won millions of dollars. He started with many McDonalds franchises, in Washington, and Az. His trainer is Bob Bafford, a very sucessful trainer. I've met both at Santa Anita, many times years ago when I was a steady customer at SA. Real class guy, and nice guy, he and partner own a small casino in Carson City. He was a customer at the Carson Valley Inn for many years, then when was up for sale in 2010, they purchased casino. Ofcourse, had to have a great Race and Sports book.
