When we purchased our ticket in Brig it was about 10-minutes after the bus had already left the terminal (they were ahead of schedule) going south. We were asked if we wanted to wait for the next bus of if we wanted the bus that just left. They called the driver and and he came back to town... and the bus was half full of locals going off to work or whatever.. and when we boarded everyone on board was so happy to see Americans who were so very interested in their little part of the world that several of them explained different points of interest about the towns we visited on the way.
One woman on the bus was on her way to work at a convent and she said that she met a guy during the war from Dothan, Alabam, and wanted to know if I would contact him when I returned. This was 46-years after the war... /
