You mention that prices sell for half of what TCR lists. But of course those sales are only a part of the equation. I think sales on eBay are depressed because there is a risk involved. Even though you see a photo in the auction, will there be a bait and switch? Could there be something wrong that you are not seeing. Will the guy actually send the chip. Will the guy list the same chip tomorrow? Is there a box somewhere???

I wont bid as high on a eBay auction as I will be willing to pay for a chip in person. Where I can hold it in my hand and make sure it is what it is. I have been burned on eBay (like we all have) and it prevents me from paying top dollar. I imagine that is the same thing for most bidders. You can't look at eBay and make a market decision.

I applaud the authors of TCR, and think they are on top of an ever changing market.
