John, Dania was never a money maker for Boyd, they bought the property with pie-eyed dreams of slots and poker and when the Broward County voters approved the measure Boyd began their plans for the property. Unfortunately though the country's economy started going South and so Boyd put the plans on hold and they've been losing money ever since.

Besides that the sports of Jai-Alai in general has been slowing dying.
