....it is certainly more expensive after the recent increases, which means that I no longer bid on lower value chips (say under $10) because the postage costs are disproportionate unless you buy a few, but I echo many of the comments above and always appreciate when people do take the couple of minutes extra to complete the customs forms to send chips to me.

I also find that when I contact sellers who say they don't ship overseas, that 4 out of 5 will actually ship to me when asked - many mention that they say no overseas shipping because they have had problems with some countries, but mailing to the UK is generally considered a safe bet in terms of items arriving safely so maybe that is something to do with it. And occasionally it is simply someone who has never shipped overseas before.

And of course, you open up your customer base when you ship to another country.
