Sure, I'd believe the guy who told you that. Chances are at least 50% it is true. No money to be made in faking hot-stamped bpoe's as they are not worth much. Unfortunately, not many collectors. Lodge 1920 is from Barstow CA. Pictured below is my chip from there, but they could have made many different orders.... .... 1920 also could be the address of an illegal club.
