A few reasons I'm not evacuating S. Korea

North Korea may threaten the world but here are a few reasons I'm not leaving South Korea.

It's the tail end of persimmon season.
I just bought five persimmons for less than $1 US. Weight was 1¾ pounds.

I leave them out until it gets soft then refrigerate. Biting into one is like getting a mouthful of sugar, it's that sweeeet! It's replaced my cravings for dark chocolate.
Strawberries are also in season. Here in South Korea the farmers have learned to grow strawberries in plastic tarp houses during the winter. The cold winter season makes the strawberries juicy and sweet. The colder the season the sweeter they get and it's been a cold winter!

The flowers are starting to bloom.
There are mountainsides covered in azaleas.
The plum and peach blossoms are starting to flower.
The most beautiful are the cherry blossoms. Simply amazing.

Kim Jong-un may threaten us by being close with the "worm" but he won't make me leave South Korea!
