Not Shady but originally

classy. I live only a mile from this location. It was original built as a complex of High rise apartments, motel and restaurant. The restaurant became THE TOY TIGER. A pretty popular night club. Complex was built by James Graham Brown the builder of the famous Brown hotel @ 4th Broadway, home of the HOT BROWN sandwich.

James Graham's philanthropy is still very active in Louisville today.

The poker games took place in some of the motel rooms and went on for days. Thousands of dollars changed owners in a single hand. They had a cigar box with a gun next to it for the drop box. They supplied food and drinks all night. I never played there, buy a good friend of mine did. I'll ask him about what chips they used but I am sure it was not these. I do believe these were for the Night club and Fun type Black Jack. They had a board posted and the highest winners had their names displayed. This was the preliminary to Riverboat Splash (Barge) @ 4th & River in Louisville.

I remember that at one time the leader played with the strategy of never drawing when he could bust.
